Region A Partnership for Children Receives Smart Start Grant for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Expansion
Region A Partnership for Children, a partner in the Smart Start Network, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) are working together with community partners to get books into the homes of our youngest children in the far western counties of North Carolina. Learn more at:
The Region A Partnership for Children is the non-profit organization that was established in 1994 to administer Smart Start funding in the seven far western counties (Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, and Swain) and the Cherokee Indian Reservation (Qualla Boundary).
Developed by The North Carolina Partnership for Children, Inc. with a grant from the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, first2000days.org was “the outgrowth of a series of forums—Smart Investing— held across the state in 2010.”
“What do North Carolinians want for their children?” remains the central theme for this organization and the Region A Partnership for Children proudly supports its goal to help inform North Carolinians “about why early care and learning is important.”
